10 Line Portrait

Here’s a quick example (drawn digitally, to the detriment of the image) of what I call “10 Line Portraits”. By limiting how many lines you can use, you are forced to look at the distinctive contours of the subject and employ economy to create the image. I’ve seen continuous line drawing, but this method creates an additional level of difficulty/fun and avoids extraneous lines. It is particularly well-suited to sketching in public where the unwitting model doesn’t stay still for very long.
